Alien Abduction

There is a story, true or not, that President Eisenhower signed a treaty with an Alien race, exchanging permission to kidnap Americans for advanced Alien Technology. The story continues that the Aliens are using abductees to create Human / Alien hybrids to reinforce their genetic base which has grown weak.

There is a large Trickster element in many abduction encounters and a feeling by many experiencers that the floor of everyday reality was moving under them. It also may be that various secret agencies are promoting false UFO stories to distract from what they really are doing.

The fact remains that hundreds of thousands of Americans (and other countries also) are having bizarre yet often very similar experiences, often connected with such extreme psychological shock as to make it certain that SOMETHING is happening to them. To call that something "Alien" is perhaps a major simplification of a truth or truths well beyond human understanding.

The Alien Autopsy

A group of films supposed to show the dissection of an Alien killed in the 1947 Roswell, New Mexico UFO crash, was shown with much publicity on Fox TV. It then faded away.

Unreported by Fox, there were in fact film segments from at least four instances: two different autopsies, a dim scene of a third Alien being tended to by medics, and a scene of strange objects being displayed by a soldier. Quite a bit of material for a hoax.

The story was that the military cameraman who filmed the episodes stole the (worst) reels and sold them, near the end of his life, to Ray Santilli, a promoter of old Elvis Presley concert films. The segments do look like outtakes, often dark and blurred. The unbroadcast autopsy has an internal genital examination, clearly not intended for prime time.

There was quite a stir for a little while and a number of experts were examining the films or tapes of them. The preliminary tests were passed: the film was correct for the date, the camera work was appropriate for the type of camera used, and the objects in the scenes were correct (with some disagreement about curly telephone cords). The cameraman gave the location of the crash, a disturbed spot was found there, and the site was about to be searched for evidence.

Then it all just went away, the original film disappeared and all most everyone decided to drop the issue. There are determined believers on both sides, but the fact remains that no hard proof has been found that the films are anything other than what they are claimed to be.

With the people who control the originals primarily, if not solely, interested in money, a large sum from "them" (those hidden forces who do all the bad stuff) could have caused the withdrawal of the film and quieted the experts. Or as Ray Santilli claims, the firestorm of insults to the promoters caused the film to be put away in a vault for the moment.

The jury is still out on this, stay tuned.

The exploded planet hypothesis. Are the asteroids remnants of an ancient planet? Mars has lots of meteor craters on one side, very few on the other. Is this evidence that Mars once orbited a planet which exploded, perhaps blasting off its' atmosphere and killing what life was there?

But as Art Bell once asked, a touch of worry in his voice, "what can explode a planet?"

Science has found flat spots on opposite sides of Mars, believed to be previous locations of the North and South poles. One curiosity of the face on Mars is that it is at a seemingly random location on the globe and at an angle to north, unlike the pyramids and other Earthly monuments that often are carefully aligned. Tom Van Flandern projected the newly discovered flat spots onto a globe as the poles and discovered that the face then is aligned north / south and is located on the equator.

Incidentally the area around the face, which many believe is a buried city, is located where an ancient (now dry) Mars river meets the ancient sea, just where we earthlings put our cities.

Immanuel Velikovsky

Immanuel Velikovsky found evidence in the Bible (stories of the flood and the parting of the Red Sea), Egyptian, and many other ancient texts, that seem to show ancient cataclysms caused by near approaches to Earth by a planet he believed to be Venus.

Velikovsky was highly controversial, despite his obvious scholarship. His predictions of Venus being much hotter than science then expected and having a comet - like tail and of Jupiter emitting radio waves were confirmed by space probes much later, long after the stir caused by his 1952 book (Earth in Upheaval) had evaporated.

In other things he was likely wrong - celestial mechanics makes the billiard like movement of the planets in recent history that he proposed pretty much impossible.

Like a true pathfinder he wasn't afraid to be wrong on his way to being right.

Particularly interesting is his idea of the electric universe - massive discharges of energy between planets on close approach causing huge scars, scars that are seen in NASA photos. Perhaps stars and even galaxies exchange energy in a similar way.
