Reverse Speech

Oates has found identifiable words and phrases in ordinary speech played backwards. Significantly the reverse messages are often relevant to the content of the forward sentences and reflect the thoughts of the speaker. If the speaker is lying the reversals often show it. This would not be popular with politicians and other such shady people and David has encountered a lot of troubles.

If we truly speak both forwards and backwards at the same time, conveying meaning consciously forward and unconsciously backward then it would follow that the unconscious mind operates backwards in time - from the future towards the past, an idea that could explain precognition, among other things.

Perhaps time flows in both directions equally and simultaneously. Physics has already found subatomic particles (tachions) that appear to move backwards in time.
